Agree or disagree? Environmental problems are too complex that individuals can almost contribute nothing.
TEST TAKER'S RESPONSE.
It is generally acknowledged that the past decades have witnessed a great leap in the development of the society. It also leads to many environmental problems, such as, air polluting, global warming and so on. Some people claim that environmental problems are too complex for individuals to do something, however, I believe that individuals play an important role in protecting environment. People could change some small habits to protect the environment. For instance, classify the rubbish before we throw it. In this aspect, I think Taiwanese set a good example for all of us. I was in Taiwan last year, and their good habits of garbage classification impressed me a lot. What is more, we can avoid using the disposable dishware as less as possible and use the electronic cards instead of paper cards to express best wishes to our friends and families. Moreover, it is favorable for saving the earth from global warming that we take bus rather than cars if possible. Additionally, there is no doubt that the personal consumption concept will influence the entire market. For example, though the government has legislated against catching and killing some rare animals, we can see that many restaurants still provide food of these animals. Also, lots of products made by valuable animals’ fur and organs are on sale. If we all stop buying these animal products ,the market of these products could collapse soon and the animals would have more chances to survive . In other words, no trading, no killing. Besides, we can choose energy saving devices in our daily life. Finally, we can do our bit and invent gizmos to deal with the environmental problems, especially for college students. Taking the triangle calendar for example, it is not only saving paper but also novelty. Having considered all the arguments above, individual contributions may be so trivial in a short time but are considerable in the long run.
My greatest challenge is developing an introduction and topic sentences.
