Some people say that advertising encourages us to buy things that we really do not need. Others say that advertisements tell us about new products that may improve our lives. Which viewpoint do you agree with?
TEST TAKER'S RESPONSE.
Nowadays, there are numerous commercials on televisions and on billboards. Some people believe that advertising increases product sales and tempts consumers to make unnecessary purchases. I agree with this statement. Younger people in particular purchase products even though they do not actually need them.
First off, things may sound special and of the best standard on a television screen. Because of this, people buy the products without giving them enough thought. Customers may not actually need some things, yet they impulsively purchase them after seeing the advertisement. People may be influenced by the trend even though they do not actually require the products, however some consumers end up purchasing the products promoted by the advertising agencies.
Suffice to note, people buy products because they have inordinate need and money to do so. Sundry people purchase goods advertised because they presume they can quench their insatiable needs rather than because they are advertised. In any case, multifarious people will buy such advertised goods because their coffers are full to the brim. Nonetheless, among the innumerable reasons of purchase is the need for adventure and trying out new products to compare with the antiquated they have.
In conclusion, I believe that each person has their own attitudes and perspectives regarding purchasing items. Hence buying out of preference. It is unfair to say that all people are persuaded to make impulsive purchases of products advertised on televisions. But it is also essential to distinguish the products which are actually needed and those which are of no use.
