Nowadays some parents find it hard to spend time with their kids. Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern, we find that some people hold the idea that parents should use the time they spend with children to have fun playing games or sports meanwhile others prefer that it is best to use that time doing things together that are related to schoolwork. From my point of view, it is more advisable for parents to spend more time with kids on playing, rather than helping them do homework. My argument for this point are discussed below. The main reason for my propensity for my view is that playing with children can bolster the relationship between parents and their kids. Children's mind is relaxed when palying, so it is easy to build realtionship during that time. According to a survey, most children's relationship with their parents gets better after playing with their parents. Some kids said that they saw the other side of their parents amid playing games and sports, which depleted their stereotype about their parents. But the survey indicates that this effect could not be found after parents taught kids to do homework. Obviously, playing with kids is more beneficial. Another reason is that is easy toseen is that children crave to relax after school. Students are exhausted after school, and forcing them to do homework is absolutely a torture for them. Therefore, giving students some time to relax is essential, and that is parents' obligation. Take my neighbor for example. His parents used to urge him to finish his homework after arriving home, but he simply get agitated and quarrel with them. Later his parents decided to play basketball with him after he came back from school for 30 minutes. It is surprising to see that after sports, he would finish his work with supervision. Although I concur that there are a couple of advantages of using that time doing things together that are related to schoolwork, I feel that the disadavntages are obvious.
