TASK RESPONSE.
It is certain there is an increase in life expectancy among people in contemporary society, an issue I would vehemently attribute to the development of technology that has transcended various spheres of life.
First off, technology has been advanced enormously in the medical field. Life is the most important aspect of human beings, and being well is imperative. There is great technological development in the medical strata that has helped humans live longer. My senile grandmother is an example to draw. Being old, she had grave ailments some of which doctors in our remote hometown could not diagnose. However, when she was taken to the city, with robust medical facilities, it really took a short time for the doctors there to diagnose her ailment, gallstone pancreatitis, a condition of having stones in the pancreas. This had almost affected the rest of the body system and with good medicine prescribed, she is now at ninety-five years, having survived for more than twelve years since diagnosis. Many diseases in the past could not be diagnosed because of lack of advanced medical equipment however, today, doctors can diagnose even the most mysterious ailment.
Still important, it should be accepted that novel technology today has made light human labor. Ages past, workers had to work for hours on end, manually, a thing that drained life from their marrows. This weakened them and thus lessened the years they could live on earth. Today, work has been eased by use of technology. For example, during the covid pandemic, sundry companies requested their employees to work from home. This meant little fatigue of moving to and from work. It also meant having the best meals cooked at home rather than eating fast foods as always at work. Ideally, apart from easing work, which makes people have more time for themselves and for refreshment, the ability to have spare time has changed life styles among people, thus enhancing their lives.
To conclude, I believe few people will doubt the fact that the advancement in technology in the medical and work-related fields is the cardinal epitome of increased life expectancy.
