Employment Letters:
Any letters with respect to the employment process, like joining letter, promotion letter, application letter, resignation letters, appraisal letters etc. Note that these kinds of letters are different for example, an application letter is differently worded from a promotion letter because the aims are different.
In this way, you need to be very clear in understanding the purpose of the letter. You need to underline the keywords of the question and write a brief of what you are going to present.
During a recent train journey, you sat next to a businesswoman who owns a chain of hotels. You talked to her and she suggested that you should contact her about a possible job opening in one of her hotels.
Write a letter to this businesswoman. In your letter:
Remind her when and where you met
Tell her what kind of job you are interested in
say why you think you would be suitable for the job
In the above question, the bolded and underlined words give you a clear clue of what you should focus on when writing the letter.

Start Dear Mr Kenyon
Dear Mr. Kenyon,
I write to inform you of my decision to resign my position at your company. I have worked as a Human Resource Manager for five yours but now feel I need to pursue personal development.
I am leaving the company because I intend to pursue further studies so as to be competitive in the job market, and to learn new knowledge in the field of human resource management.
The world is changing and so is the labor market. I felt it worth going back for further studies to enhance my employability in the future as more and more people now have higher or masters’ degrees yet for the past five years, I have just held a diploma in human resource management. Given the busy schedule of the company, I feel it will be hard for me to work as I study, especially that the course will also require quite a sizeable amount of time.
I am greatly indebted by your generosity and help during my time at your company and hope after my studies, I will have an opportunity to work for you again.
Yours sincerely
LeAnn Rhymes
