You have eaten at a restaurant and it was such a terrible experience that you have decided to inform the manager by letter of what happened, and that you want your money back. Things to include:
- Facts. You need to be concise but explain what happened.
- Polite. No one responds to insults.
- Outline what you wish from this. What do you want to happen?
- Firmness. You want to be taken seriously.

TASK RESPONSE.
To the manager,
I would like to lodge my dissatisfaction at having dined at your establishment last night.
I did make an inquiry two weeks before dine date about a table that would accommodate my family of eight, unfortunately, on arrival, with a jovial mood, I was told by the supervisor that the hotel hardly had such a large table in its abode to accommodate us. To our dismay, she went ahead and told us there would be no alternative apart from sitting at different tables.
Having accepted the change in sitting arrangement, we were treated to a far greater disappointment as the hotel lacked the kinds of foods shown on the website menu. We are a vegetarian family, so proud to be, that we can hardly feast on any animal products. We asked for a refund of the booking fee and were told it would be only passed by the manager, who was not around at the time.
The ordeal left us gravely inconsolable, and thus request a full refund of the amount paid. My hamble suggestion too, that the hotel website be updated with what is available at the hotel rather than presenting something to entice customers on what is not available.
Yours faithfully,
Washington Karl.
