The map shows two proposed locations of a new shopping mall for the town of Garlsdon.
We can see that site number one would probably offer more advantages for countryside people and customers in Hindon, Bransdon and Cransdon, while the second site could be a good choice for local citizens. However, neither of them seem to be appropriate to all.
The first potential site (S1) is outside of the town itself, and is sited just off the main road to the town of Hindon, lying 12 kms to the north-west. This site is in the rural area and so would be able to accommodate a number of car parking, which would make it accessible to shoppers from both Hindon and Garlson who could travel by car. And it is also close to the railway line linking the two towns to Gransdon (25 km to the south-east), a potentially large number of customers would be travel by train.
By contrast, the other planned site (S2) is right in the town centre, which may be convenient for local people than the first site. Theoretically the mall can be accessed by road or rail from surrounding towns, including Brandson which is situated about 16 kilometers to the southwest of Garlsdon. However, cars would be unable to park and access would be difficult since the central area is a no traffic zone.
