
You'll have 60 minutes to complete this part of the exam. Three or four reading passages of increasing difficulty are provided. There are 40 questions in all. Sometimes you can mark and write on the Question Paper, but your answers should be entered on the Reading Answer Sheet. You should note that no extra time is given for transferring your answers from the test booklet to the Reading Answer Sheet.
There are two types of IELTS: Academic and General Training. The Listening, Reading and Writing sections of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks in between them.
