Cohesion.
This is the logical link between words, sentences, and paragraphs. To be coherent, every sentence and paragraph must be connected by devices. Lack of coherence can make it difficult to understand main ideas and meaning. Keeping words, sentences, and paragraphs coherent in your writing is easy with these tips.
Coherence Between Words.
Parallelism can create coherence between words. In parallel structure, words within sentences are constructed in similar grammatical ways. Lists are dominated by parallelism when it comes to words. Each activity should be grammatically correct in a list, for example. As an example, if the verb in the list is in the gerund form 'running', then the other verbs in the list should also be in the gerund form.
James likes to sing, skating, and jump.
Instead, the list should be parallel like this:
James likes singing, skating, and jumping.
This is very helpful when it comes to the writing tasks. Thank you so much.
